Safeguarding Team

School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment. We recognise that safeguarding encompasses the duties of child protection and promoting the rights and welfare of children. It is everyone’s responsibility to safeguard children and adults in school and provide a safe environment in which children can learn.  We have a dedicated safeguarding team and a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our safeguarding and child protection policy.

Within our school all staff and Governors are trained annually on our safeguarding procedures and are fully aware of the key documentation to promote safeguarding within our school, such as the school’s Safeguarding Policy and Keeping Children Safe in Education’ which can be found on the 'Policies' page of our school website. We also actively support the Government’s Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism and have a range of policies and procedures in place which enhance our contribution to safeguarding within our school.

We understand that every family may face challenges. We can offer Early Help to families to ensure that you can receive support when you need it. Early Help means working with you and your family so that small problems don't become bigger. If you feel you and your family might need support to solve some problems, you can ask to talk to the teacher or nursery key worker about early help.
