Transition in to School and Nursery September 2020

We would normally have had transition days during July where children get to meet their new teachers and spend time in their new classrooms. Due to COVID-19 this has been unable to take place, therefore, we have made the decision to hold transition during the week of September 7th 2020.  Children new to Reception and Nursery will already have been notified of a visit date and time.

From September 2020, School and Nursery will be closed on Friday afternoons to enable deep cleaning to take place both inside and outside the classrooms.  This will be reviewed over the Autumn term depending on future government advice and circumstances around Covid-19.

We are also unable to commence our breakfast club or after school club provision in September. We will review this over the first half term and re-open if and when it is safe to do so. The children will be staying in their class bubbles and working with the same adults every day. That way if anyone in that bubble contracts Covid we will only need to close one bubble and will be able to keep the rest of the school open. These decisions have been made to mitigate risk and to keep children and staff as safe as possible in these challenging times.  If you have any queries, please email school and we will do our best to help (office@shawcrossinfants.co.uk).

In the meantime, have a happy and safe summer and we look forward to seeing you all in September.  Please see additional information below.
